Defending State ‘A’ American Legion baseball champions North Coos Waterfront opened up defense of its title at this year’s State Tournament at Legion Field in Roseburg Satruday with a 14-2 win over Central Point. The Waterfront faced La Grande on Sunday in the Winner’s Bracket and won 8-0. North Coos will play Alpenrose Dairy on Monday, 7 p.m. The five-day tourney ends on Wednesday.
