News release BACC.  South Coast residents have the opportunity to hear from renowned economists about local, state and national economic conditions as well as from local leaders about projects of importance to the local economy at the 25th Annual Economic Outlook Forum scheduled for Friday, December 8, at The Mill Casino-Hotel.   The 6:45 to 11:00 am breakfast conference is presented by the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce and Banner Bank, in cooperation with 35 sponsoring businesses and organizations. The forum features John Mitchell, former U.S. Bank Chief Economist, who will provide the keynote address on the national and regional picture. John has the unique talent of making economics both interesting and entertaining.  Annette Shelton-Tiderman, economist from the Oregon Employment Department, will give an overview of the Coos County and Coos Bay Area economy. Two of our local project updates will focus on the development activity in both Coos Bay and North Bend, with an eye to current and future activity, in a joint presentation by both cities. The Jordan Cove LNG project will follow with it latest project update and timeline. Also highlighted in our program will be “Home Grown Business Successes” Stillwagon Distillery and Bayside Coffee, both former New Business Challenge winners. Additionally, we have the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce introducing the forum with its BOLD concept. Don’t miss this outstanding event.
