News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On November 21, 2014, at approximately 1808 hours, Coos County Sheriff’s Deputies and Coquille Police Department Officers responded to 53944 Fishtrap Road, Coquille, Coos County, Oregon in regards to a disturbance. Upon arriving deputies leared that Robert Davis, 51 YOA had punched his wife, Sandra Davis, 44 YOA in the shoulders with closed fists, grabbed her by her clothes up around her shoulders, and then threw her into the wood stove which was hot and in use. Sandra Davis had attempted to call 911 multiple times, but Robert Davis kept taking the phone away and hanging up when she would start to talk with the dispatcher. Robert Davis had also reportedly given Sandra Davis a glass of what she thought was tea while they were visiting a friend, but found out the drink was actually made with psychedelic mushrooms. As a result of the investigation, Deputies arrested Robert Davis for Assault IV Domestic, Causing Another Person to Ingest a Controlled Substance, and Interference with Making a Report. Robert Davis was consequently transported to the Coos County Jail, where he was booked and held on $70,000 bail. Ms. Davis was given medical attention at the scene and was transported to Coquille Valley hospital by Coquille Valley Ambulance.
