Coos Hd. Rd., CCSO release – On 09-16-19 at about 9:43 AM, the Coos County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a male subject assaulting a female on Coos Head Rd in Coos Bay.Deputies made contact with the female victim at the Charleston Visitor’s Center. She stated a male known as “Michael” had hit her multiple times and prevented her from leaving. Her bruising was consistent with the description. After a search of the area the Deputies were unable to locate the suspect. After investigation, on 09-24-19 at about 11:45 AM, Deputies received information on the location of the suspect. Upon arrival, the Deputies made contact a male subject identifying himself as David Damron. The victim positively identified the suspect. As the result of the investigation the David Damron was arrested for assault IV domestic. He was transported to Coos County Jail where Deputies learned the suspect’s real identity to be 42 year old Daniel Crofton. Mr. Crofton had several outstanding warrants out of Douglas and Jackson Counties. Daniel Crofton was book and lodged in the Coos County Jail.
