A 71-year old female died in a house fire on Bates Road outside of Bandon Wednesday afternoon, March 14. The fire was reported about 4:20 p.m. Mary Haecker was found in a back bedroom. She was transported to Southern Coos Hospital & Health Care Center in Bandon where she died from her injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
