On Friday, July 27th, 2018 at about 7:10PM the Oregon State Police responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a bicycle that occurred on McKenzie View Drive in an unincorporated area of Lane County. This collision involved a 2009 Honda Civic operated by Tevah DONITH age 36, of Eugene. DONITH was traveling westbound on McKenzie View Drive, overtook and impacted with a westbound bicyclist, Jeffery Allan SAKACSI, age 48 of Springfield, while negotiating a curve. SAKACSI was thrown to the roadway and struck by a second vehicle which was a 2005 Chrysler Cruze operated by Megan BERRY, age 33, of Eugene. SAKACSI was transported to Sacred Heart hospital at River Bend with life threatening injuries. SAKACSI remains in serious condition.
