News release from Josephine Co. Sheriff’s Office. This morning, Grants Pass Police received a message regarding a threat to Rogue Community College (RCC). They notified the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) and RCC. JCSO immediately responded. JCSO began an investigation and worked with RCC officials to evacuate the campus. RCC used their alert system, and the evacuation was conducted quickly and smoothly. Responders are continuing the investigation and anticipate remaining at RCC for some time. Local, state and Federal partners are working together to ensure that a thorough search of the campus is completed. More information may be available after that search has been completed. RCC officials believe that the threat was directed at the Redwood Campus location in Grants Pass, Ore. However, the other two campuses have been evacuated as a precautionary measure.
