Southwestern Oregon Community College’s Small Business Development Center (Southwestern SBDC) is offering an interactive workshop entitled Business Skills to Thrive Boom or Bust, March 11, 2015 at Southwestern Oregon Community College. It’s not too late to register. The information provided is relevant for any business facing change, opportunity or decline. Developing a strategic plan including goals and action steps is important for all businesses to thrive. The Jordan Cove energy project is on everyone’s mind. Business people are asking, “How do I prepare for the opportunities and mitigate the business risks LNG will bring to the bay area?” This workshop is designed to prepare businesses to take advantage of the economic growth during the construction phase and prepare for the anticipated downturn when the building project comes to a close. It’s critical for local businesses to be prepared. Business Skills to Thrive Boom or Bust will be taught Sandy Cutler. “Let’s build trust together,” is the mission statement of Sandy Cutler, President of BizCoach, Inc. With 40 years’ experience helping build successful businesses, Sandy offers executive coaching to private and public organizations to achieve breakthrough results in the areas of strategic planning and leadership development. This unique training opportunity would not be possible without the support of the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce or sponsorships from Jordan Cove Energy Project LP, Yellow Cab Taxi, Banner Bank, Umpqua Bank, Oregon Pacific Bank and South Coast Development Council. A fee of $99 per person will be charged. Seating is limited. Lunch and handout materials are included in the registration fee. Preregistration at www.BizCenter.org no later than Friday, March 6th is required to insure seating availability and materials. The workshop will be held in Coos Bay at the Southwestern Oregon Community College campus Hales Center Lakeview rooms, 1988 Newmark Ave. from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm on Wednesday, March 11, 2015.
