Physical Dispute Bandon
CCSO news release.  On January 4, 2018 at approximately 11:39 pm, the Coos County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of the Bandon Police Department, responded to 54000 Block of Winterberry Road near Bandon for a report of two male subjects and a female subject involved in an active physical dispute. Bandon Police arrived on scene first, followed by the Sheriff’s Office. Based on evidence at the scene, statements from the involved parties and a witness, the investigation revealed that a female who shares a residence with 59-year old David Dunham, Bandon, at that location, had allegedly been hit in the head with a shovel. A shovel with blood on it was recovered at the scene. The female was transported from the scene to Bay Area Hospital for treatment. David Dunham was arrested and transported to the Coos County Jail. Dunham was charged with Assault II and is currently held in lieu of $250,000 bail.

Bandon Disturbance
CCSO news release.  On 01/04/2018, at approximately 6:19 pm, deputies with the assistance from Bandon Police Department responded to 54000 block of Winterberry Drive, Bandon, Oregon. There was a report of a disturbance going on. Upon arrival deputies investigated and it was determined 59-year old David Dunham, Bandon, had became upset with his live in girlfriend and broke out the trailer window. David reportedly struck his girlfriend a couple of times before throwing her and her dog out of the trailer along with all of her belongings. David was arrested for Domestic Harassment and transported to the Coos County Jail where he was held on a bail of $5000.00 dollars.

Domestic Violence
CCSO news release.  On January 4, 2018 Coos County Sheriff’s Deputy’s responded to the Powers area regarding a domestic violence incident. The complaint was made by, a mandatory reporter, the victim’s caregiver. Deputies contacted the victim, 56-yea rold Carrie Baker at her residence. The victim had obvious injury to her face neck and arms. After a brief interview the victim told investigators her boyfriend 51-year old Sam Youngblood had hit her, strangled her to the point of brief unconsciousness, and “beat” her head on the floor. Medical assistance from Myrtle Point Ambulance evaluated Ms. Baker and she was transported to Coquille Valley Hospital. Ms. Baker was subsequently sent to River Bend Hospital in Eugene due to the seriousness of her injuries. Last information is Ms. Baker is in stable condition. The criminal investigation is continuing with the assistance of the Coos County Medical Examiner’s Office. The classification of Assault in the 2nd Degree and Strangulation in this domestic abuse investigation shows the level of injury to the victim. As of this time the suspect has not been located.
