Cape Arago Hwy. CCSO release – On June 20th at approximately 3:17pm, Coos County Sheriff’s deputies casually contacted a woman on Cape Arago Highway and Driftwood Lane. She was later identified as Amanda Loren Coughtry. The deputy conducted a consensual search of Coughtry for illegal contraband. Ammunition was found and since she was on probation for was placed in custody for a Probation Violation. Coughtry was transported to Coos County Jail where she was lodged.
Disorderly
Newport Ln., CCSO release – On June 20th at approximately 8:11am Coos County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a welfare check of a male subject sleeping in the bus stop near Newport Lane in the Bunker Hill section of Coos Bay. When the deputies arrived they found the man, later identified as Ricky Leon Posey being checked by medics. Posey was found to be intoxicated with no medical needs. Posey was advised to leave on foot. While still in the view of the Deputies, Posey was seen urinating while on the Isthmus Bridge. This behavior is disruptive to the flow of traffic as people slowed so Posey was taken into custody for Disorderly Conduct in the 2nd Degree. He was transported to Coos County Jail where he was lodged and then released on citation.
