Assault
Collver Point Ln., CB, CCSO release – On 10-03-19 at about 12:47 AM, the Coos County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an assault. Deputies contacted the victim in front of the Old General Store in Charleston. The victim was bleeding from a cut in the back of his head. The Deputy was told that during an argument with 53 year old Eilene Dorsey of Coos Bay, Eilene threw a smoke canister, hitting the victim in the head. Deputies contacted Eilene on Collver Point Ln. As a result of the investigation, Eilene was placed under arrest for Assault IV – Domestic. She was transported and lodged at the Coos County Jail.

Wilshire Rd.,/S. Spring Ln., CCSO release – INFO TO BE RELEASED: Shortly after midnight on October 3rd 2019, a Coos County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop of a bicyclist on S. Spring Lane near Wilshire Road for several traffic violations.After an investigation, the bicyclist was identified as 37 year old Brent J. Elbert of Coos Bay. The investigation revealed Mr. Elbert had an outstanding arrest warrant for Probation Violation. During continued investigation methamphetamine was located on Mr. Elbert’s person. Mr. Elbert was transported to the Coos County Jail on the outstanding warrant for his arrest where he is being held. Mr. Elbert is being referred to the D.A.’s Office on the charge of Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine.
