First Degree Theft
Seven Devils Rd., CCSO release – On September 20th, 2019 at 10:14 AM, The Coos County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a single vehicle over an embankment in the area of Mile Post Eight on Seven Devils Rd. Upon the Deputy’s arrival, it was discovered the operator of the vehicle had attempted to do what is commonly known as a “doughnut” and slid off the road. Upon further investigation the passenger of the vehicle revealed that the operator, 44 year old Clinton G. Duncan had planned on waiting and ambushing Deputies. It was also discovered that earlier in the morning Clinton had stolen a firearm. The firearm was located a short distance from the vehicle in the brush. It appeared the firearm had been intentionally thrown after the crash. It was also discovered that Clinton G. Duncan is a convicted felon. After being cleared for incarceration by medical personnel, Clinton was transported to the Coos County Jail. Clinton was booked and lodged for Theft in the First Degree, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Tampering with Evidence, and Reckless Endangering.
