The Coos County Sheriff’s Office has been getting multiple reports of scams over the phone in our area. These scammers are representing everything from WalMart and Costco to Publishers Clearinghouse and the Internal Revenue Service. The Sheriff’s Office urges folks to please use caution when giving personal and financial information to callers without knowing who or what they represent.
