A childcare facility in Eastside has reportedly surrendered its license to operate with the state following allegations of abuse. The Sprouts Learning Center at 633 D St. is under investigation by the Oregon Dept. of Education Early Learning Division’s Office. State officials say the result of the surrendering of the license means Spouts Learning Center LLC cannot care for children for five years. The allegations against the center have been posted on the State Dept.’s website. Complaints include food & water being withheld, a discipline room without heat and conflicts between children or staff.
