On Tuesday, August 7th, 2018, the Bay Area will again band together for National Night Out…however, there is one major change…it will NOT be at Ferry Road Park. National Night Out was originally designed to bring neighbors out of their homes to meet fellow neighbors and organize against crime. This is where National Night Out is going this August…back to your neighborhoods! While there will be no law enforcement sponsored events in the parks this year, we strongly encourage neighborhoods to unite and host their very own individual block parties and we’ll come visit YOU! Information and applications for block party permits can be picked up at your local police department or downloaded from your respective city’s website. Additionally, Coos Clean & Green is running a neighborhood clean-up challenge with some pretty great prizes! Take a “before” picture of your property, clean and spruce it up, and then take an “after” picture. More information is available along with contest rules at https://www.facebook.com/cooscleangreen/. Winners will be announced on the evening of National Night Out! Clean neighborhoods are safer neighborhoods! Band together, organize, celebrate your neighborhood unity, and let criminals know that YOUR neighborhood is NOT their playground!
