Curry County Search and Rescue responded to a call for help Monday morning, July 25, from a Brookings man who slipped off the House Rock trail and was stuck on a cliff about 350-feet above the Pacific Ocean. The call to 9-1-1 came in about 11 a.m. from Robert Haas who stated he was holding on, but didn’t know for how much longer. A SAR team responded, rappelled down to Haas and strapped him into a safety harness before pulling him to safety.
