Coos Bay news release. The City of Coos Bay Public Works Department will be closing Central Avenue between Broadway and 2nd Street from January 16, 2018, and it will be closed until January 18, 2018. The purpose of the road closure is to allow City maintenance crews access to the American Building sidewalk which will be removed.
