The Missing Aircraft Search Team (MAST) has renewed the search for a missing aircraft out of Aurora, Oregon that could have gone down in the vicinity of the Central Oregon Coast back on July 7, 2007. Courtland Mumford was piloting the Piper Cub kit plane called a Cubcrafter Sport Cub. It is bright yellow and has a “Tweety Bird” decal on its tail. The non-profit organization MAST, which has search credentials that include assisting in the hunt for Malaysian Flight MH307, became active in the search for the Piper Cub back in November 2009; however, recently, some of MAST’s volunteers were reportedly in the state and visited the Central Coast to conduct interviews of witnesses who placed Mumford at a secluded air field south of Lincoln City eight years ago. He disappeared after that sighting.
