It’s a “Barn Full of Fun” at this year’s 104th Coos County Fair & Rodeo at the Fairgrounds in Myrtle Point. The annual summer time event kicksoff today and runs throught Saturday night, July 30th. all Week long there will be fun & activities for all ages, including the Birthing Barn, mini Bucking Bulls, All Alaskan Racing Pigs, Kid Tractor Pulls, Wool Busting & the Legendary Longhorns. Blend in the fun with the Butler Carnival rides & games, great foods, 4-H Livestock displays, the County’s best florals, land products, culinary, needlework, photography, and arts & crafts exhibits. Free admission on Thursday until 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights are Rodeo nights at the Fair, while live music can be heard on the main stage nightly: Hot Wax – Wednesday; Big Creek Rendevous – Thursday; Border Patrol – Friday; Soul Pie – Saturday. The Fair Parade through downtown Myrtle Pt. is Saturday at 10 a.m., and the 4-H & FFA Livestock Auction is Saturday 1 p.m. Fairground gates open daily at 8 a.m., buildings at 10 a.m. and the carnival starts at noon.
