News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. Beginning Monday, May 18, 2015 and running through Sunday, May 31st, 2015 the Coos County Sheriff’s Office will be joining other law enforcement agencies throughout the county and around the state in a safety belt and child restraint blitz. This will also coincide with the Memorial Day DUII patrols that run May 21st through May 25th. Both the Safety Belt Blitz and DUII Patrol will have extra Sheriff’s Deputies joining other law enforcement agencies in Coos County patrolling the roadways looking for intoxicated drivers and those not wearing a safety belt or children not properly in a child restraint system.
