PCS Meth Bust at Mill Casino/Hotel
News release from SCINT.  On 4/3/14 at approximately 1045 hrs, Detectives from the South Coast Interagency Narcotics Team assistance from North Bend Police contacted Tom Gocka and Elizabeth Steidel at the Mill Casino Hotel room #129.  As a result of that contact detectives conducted a search and located items to include but not limited to: Methamphetamine, Bindles w/ meth residue, syringes, syringe with methamphetamine, spoon with methamphetamine residue, hashish, hashish smoking devices and less than an ounce of marijuana.  Both Gocka and Steidel will be referred to DA on charges.  SCINT encourages the public to report narcotics activity on the web by going to www.scint.us and “Report a Dealer”. Children taken into Protective Custody
News release from SCINT.  On 4/3/14 at approximately 0924 hrs, Detectives from the South Coast Interagency Narcotics Team with the assistance from North Bend Police, responded to the Mill Casino Hotel Room #134 for the report of heavy foot traffic.  Detectives contacted Janice Monic Sanders and her two children in the room. As a result of that contact a search was conducted and items to include but not limited to were located, a quantity of packaged methamphetamine, methamphetamine bindles and a digital scale.  Sanders was arrested and transported to the jail. The two children were taken into custody by DHS.  The investigation is continuing and future arrests are anticipated.  SCINT encourages the public to report narcotics activity on the web by going to www.scint.us and “Report a Dealer”. Sentenced
News release from SCINT.  Coquille, OR March 3rd, 2014 – Jackie Erwin Rasberry II plead guilty to Unlawful Delivery of Marijuana and Attempting to Elude a Police Officer. He was sentenced to the Oregon Department of Correction for thirteen months.  The sentence stems from events on November 4th, 2013.  Rasberry had outstanding warrants from 2011 charges. On November 4th, 2013 detectives on the South Coast Interagency Narcotics Team (SCINT) had a tip Rasberry returned to the area and was at a house near Elrod and 6th in Coos Bay, Oregon. This house was within a 1000 feet of the property of Marshfield High School.  Utilizing surveillance Rasberry was located. A stop was initiated, but Rasberry fled on foot from Coos Bay Police Officer Looney and SCINT Detective Spini. At the conclusion of the foot chase, Rasberry was apprehended. A warrant executed on phones and the car operated by Rasberry revealed drug transaction records, 2500 grams of marijuana individually packaged for sale, scales and packaging materials.  Rasberry was charged with Unlawful Delivery of Marijuana, Unlawful Delivery of Marijuana within a 1000 Feet of a School, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer, Escape in the Third Degree and Interfering with a Peace Officer.  Rasberry will serve the thirteen months consecutive to his twenty-four month sentence for Unlawful Manufacture Marijuana, twelve month sentence for Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance and ninety days for False Swearing.
