Medohill Lane Assault
News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On 8/24/2014 at about 7:10 PM a Coos County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a report of an assault which occurred at a residence located on Medohill Lane near Bandon, Oregon. Investigation indicated a 17 year old male juvenile had assaulted his father with a metal crutch causing injury. A second altercation also occurred between them where the juvenile shoved his father. The male, 17 years old, was taken into custody and transported to the Coos County Juvenile Department and then transported to the Douglas County Juvenile Detention Facility. He was charged with Assault II and Harassment. The father did not require medical attention at the scene.
Flanagan Road Screamer
News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On 8/24/2014 at about 10:20 PM, the Coos County Sheriff’s Office responded to multiple reports of a woman screaming obscenities along the side of the road of Flanagan Road in the Bunker Hill area of Coos Bay. Upon arrival the Deputy located 51 year old Janet Lagasse, of Coos Bay in a wooded area near her residence, located at 93541 Dover Road. Investigation indicated that earlier she had used a knife to attack, 37 year old Coos Bay resident, Robert Frost, who lives in the same neighborhood as Ms. Lagasse. During the altercation Mr. Frost had pushed Ms. Lagasse down an embankment where the deputy located her at. Mr. Frost refused any medical attention and declined to pursue charges. Janet Lagasse was arrested for Disorderly Conduct II. Once at the Coos County Jail the deputy found a small amount of a substance believed to me methamphetamine in her possession. She was subsequently charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth).
