News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office.  “On 17 December, 2013 at 7:34 pm, a Coos County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a report of a theft of fuel from Davy Jones Locker in Charleston, Oregon.  The customer presented a counterfeit bill for payment and when questioned about the bill fled from the scene.  Investigation identified James “Jimmy” Housego, age 28, of Coquille as the suspect.  On 18 December at 8:52 pm the Coquille Police Department located and detained Mr. Housego who was found sleeping in his car in the Coquille area.  The Coos County Sheriff’s Office responded and the subsequent investigation revealed Mr. Housego was in possession of controlled substances and had items for the distribution of controlled substances.  Mr. Housego was charged with Forgery I, Possession of Forged Instrument I, Possession of Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Distribution of Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) and Theft III.  He was transported to the Coos County Jail and booked.”

Restraining Order Violation
News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office.  “On 12/17/13 at 1130 hours the Coos County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Plainview RV Park on Cape Arago Highway located in Coos Bay, Coos County, OR. This call was in response to a wanted subject walking on foot identified as Jeffery A. McGehee 33 YOA of Coos Bay.  While en route to the location Deputies learned that Mr. McGehee had a valid restraining order that prevented him from contacting an occupant in the RV Park.  Mr. McGehee was located hiding in an adjacent trailer and was arrested without incident. The original warrants were for theft and failure to appear. Mr. McGehee was transported to the Coos County Jail and lodged. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Confederated Tribal Police.”
