On Saturday, February 24th at 1:37 am, the Douglas County 9-1-1 center received a call of an injury motor vehicle crash in the area of Azalea Glen Road near Windy Creek Road. Deputies arrived to find a 2006 Dodge Pickup which had left the roadway into a tree. The driver of the vehicle, 41 year-old Glendale resident Jeremy Peterson, was pronounced deceased on scene by EMS. Alcohol and speed appear to be contributing factors in the crash.
