News release from ODOT, July 29, 4:15 a.m. SW Oregon: Oregon 138E (North Umpqua Highway) will remain closed overnight while wildland firefighting continues roughly six miles (MP 22-23) east of Glide. Roadblocks at both ends of Oregon 138E are being used to assist traffic turnarounds. Motorists traveling between U.S. 97 and Interstate 5 are directed to use alternate routes.
