DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. – Deputies participated in the Click-It-Or-Ticket campaign by providing 30 additional hours of enforcement during the nationwide enforcement campaign. Deputies took the following enforcement actions: 12 citations for speed; 18 warnings for speed; 7 citations for driving suspended; 1 Ignition Interlock Device violation citation; 10 citations for seatbelt violations; 11 warnings for seatbelt violations; 1 warning for child restraint; 3 warnings for distracted driving; 1 arrest for Fail to Carry/Display; 3 equipment violation warnings; 14 other citations and 50 other warnings. Supplementing the Click-it-Or-Ticket campaign, during the week of Labor Day, an additional 15 hours of DUII enhanced enforcements took place, resulting in the following: 6 warnings for speed; 2 DUII arrests; 1 Driving While Suspended violation citation; 1 Ignition Interlock Device violation citation; 2 arrests; 9 equipment violations; 3 citations for other violations. Funding for these enforcement hours is provided by grants.
