CBPD release – On March 22, 2019 a Coos Bay Police Officer was working a grant funded program specifically for locating impaired drivers. At approximately 2140 hours, the officer was approached by Darren Krossman, 52 of Coos Bay, who drove into the City Hall parking lot boxing in multiple patrol vehicles. Krossman stated he wanted to make a report of people chasing him. The officer noted signs of impairment consistent with methamphetamine use.  Krossman admitted to methamphetamine use. Krossman submitted to standard field sobriety tests and was subsequently was arrested for DUII.  Krossman was additionally charged with probation violation.
