CBPD release.  On March 14, 2018, just a few minutes after midnight, officers of the Coos Bay Police Department were dispatched to Curtis Avenue in front of the Coney Station for a reported non-injury crash. Upon arrival, a Ford Explorer registered to Coos Bay resident, Katherin Williams, 30, was parked unoccupied in the middle of the road.  Near the Ford Explorer was a parked vehicle with significant driver’s side damage.  Williams was located inside the Coney Station after witnesses reported she was the operator of the vehicle.  A witness stated Williams drove up onto the sidewalk in front of the Coney Station and ran over a street sign prior to crashing into the parked vehicle on the opposite side of the road.  Further investigation revealed Williams to be intoxicated and she was subsequently arrested for D.U.I.I.  She was also charged with Reckless Driving and Driving While Suspended – Misdemeanor.  Williams was transported to the Coos County Jail.
