A Eugene man was arrested following a grand jury indictment for multiple counts of assault for a July 2014 serious injury crash near Lorane, Oregon. On May 18th, 2015, OSP Troopers arrested Rick KITZEL, 21, of Eugene, on an arrest warrant issued for five counts of Assault III and Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants. The warrant was issued after a Lane County Grand Jury indicted KITZEL after reviewing the investigation of the July 12, 2014 crash. Up to this point, troopers had been continuing the investigation, awaiting toxicology reports, medical records and other evidence. KITZEL was lodged at the Lane County Jail with a bail amount of $260,000.
