Former University of Oregon athlete Ashton Eaton holds the lead in the Decathlon after the first day of competition at the Rio Olympics. The former Mtn. View of Bend high school athlete tallied 4,621 points and leads second place German Kai Kazmirek who scored 4,500. Eaton won the gold medal at the 2012 London Olympic Games.
