With many wearing red, educators and supports of public education gathered in Salem Monday, Feb. 18, to march in support of schools.  The event, dubbed “March For Our Students,” was organized by the Oregon Education Association.  They called on legislators to invest in education at all levels before the end of the current session at the State Capitol.  About two dozen protestors held a sit-in protest inside of Senate President Peter Courtney’s Office.  The group claims it has been more than twenty years since the Legislature allocated enough money for education in Oregon.
