On Sunday, January 5, 2020 at approximately 3:30 A.M., Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a pedestrian that had been struck by a vehicle on Hwy 11 near milepost 31. Preliminary investigation reveled that a pedestrian, identified as Alicia Bernhardt (20) of Walla Walla, was struck by a northbound, what is believed to be, 2002-2003 Blue Honda Accord. The vehicle fled the scene before emergency personnel arrived on scene. The Accord should have sustained damage to the passenger side front corner and is now missing the passenger side mirror. Bernhardt sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased.
