Southwestern Oregon Community College, in collaboration with the South Coast Regional Early Learning (SCREL) Hub, is hosting a free drop in family event on Saturday, October 22, 2016 between 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Families with young children are invited to come to the library, share a snack, and explore the theme of Water as they create an early learning kit to take home full of free books, and other fun things related to Water. Early literacy activities support children in developing the skills that they will need to learn and thrive. Having books and early learning materials in the home creates an environment of learning where young children live, and play and grow.
