North Bend’s boys clinched the 2016 Far West League soccer title with a 2-1 win over visiting Brookings-Harbor Thursday night at Vic Adams Field.  The Bruins finish second.  Coquille and Douglas tied 1-1 at Winston and Marshfield downed visiting South Umpqua 2-1.  Brookings-Harbor’s girls also won a championship.  The Bruins and Bulldogs played to a 0-0 tie at Vic Adams Field.  In other matches, Marshfield beat visiting South Umpqua 2-1 and Coquille fell at Douglas 3-1.  Final boys standings:  NB (9-0-1), Brookings-Harbor (8-1-1), Douglas (4-5-1), Marshfield (4-6), Coquille (3-6-1), So. Umpqua (0-10).  Final girls standings: BH (9-0-1), NB (8-1-1), So. Umpqua (4-6), MHS (3-6-1), Douglas (2-7-1), Coquille (2-8).  The league winners earn a bye from the 4A “Play-In” round and will open the playoffs on Nov. 2.
