Visiting Tillamook eliminated Siuslaw of the Far West League from the 4A state volleyball playoffs with a 3-2 Play-In win at Florence Monday night. Two other Play-In matches are scheduled for tonight before the OSAA sets the field for the 16-team bracket and Saturday’s first round matches. Junction City is at Philomath tonight, and Corbett visits Phoenix in Southern Oregon.

Far West League champion Marshfield fared well with post season honors following the end of the regular season meeting between coaches. Pirate Coach Tammie Montiel was honored as Coach of the Year, while MHS junior Hailee Woolsey was named Player of the Year. The Pirates also got senior Gabby Bryant named as First Team Libero, and sophomore Shaylynn Jensen as First Team Setter.
