On Friday, September 6, 2019 the Oregon State Police Criminal Investigations Division received a request to conduct an investigation where the suspect was a Grant County Sheriff’s Deputy. On Monday, September 9, 2019 the Oregon State Police arrested Deputy Tyler Smith on charges of Child Neglect, Attempted Adult Rape, and Assault IV.
