On Friday, June 15, 2018, at 8:50 p.m. deputies were called to a residence in the 1000-block of Byron Creek Road for a male who had reportedly been stabbed. When deputies arrived, the victim whose name is being withheld, was pronounced deceased. The Douglas County Major Crimes Team has been activated and is investigating this case as a homicide. A suspect, 22 year-old Lee William Gee of Winston has been arrested and lodged in the Douglas County Jail for Criminal Homicide.
