On Thursday, August 15, 2019 at approximately 8:45 P.M. Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a single vehicle crash on Hwy 99W near milepost 34. Preliminary investigation indicates that a 2005 Nissan Murano, operated by Hector Orozco Jr.(29) of Dayton, was northbound at a high rate of speed when it left the roadway and struck several parked cars. Orozco sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased. Northbound Hwy 99W was closed for 5 hours following the crash.
