On November 26, 2019 at 4:45 PM, Oregon State Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a two-vehicle crash (which resulted in a single fatality) on 22 W at Perrydale Rd, Polk County. Preliminary investigation revealed a 2008 Honda Ridgline , operated by Roy Zimbrick, age 86 of Willimina, was attempting to turn onto Perrydale Rd when it was struck by the 2008 Nissan Titan operated by Miguel Lopez Delgado, age 37 of Salem, traveling eastbound on SR 22W. Zimbrick suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The occupants of the Nissan were transported to local hospital with serious injuries. SR 22 W was closed for about 3.5 hours following the crash.
