Former Coos Bay Police Sgt. Robert Lounsbury competed Saturday at the Kona, Hawaii Ironman Triathlon and finished 133rd out of 1,255 participants. He was ninth in his age group and 111st male to cross the finish line in the swim, bike and marathon run competition. Lounsbury finished the grueling race in 5:22.27. Myrtle Pt. Police Chief Rock Rakosi also took on the event, but his time was not readily available.
