Former Marshfield runner Jazmin Chavez, now a freshman at Lane CC in Eugene, has been honored as the NWAC Women’s XC Athlete of the Week for Week 3. According to release from NWAC, “Jazmin is a serious competitor who adds significant talent to this year’s women’s squad” said Titans head coach Bill Steyer. “She has been the top team finisher at our first two races of the year-Ash Creek and Sundowner Invites at Western Oregon University. Jazmin is a natural leader and tremendous team role mode l- a hard-working athlete and supportive team member. We look forward to her continued success throughout the season!”
