More than 30-non-profit organizations in the Bay Area and throughout Southern Oregon, received grants from the Jordan Cove Pacific Connector Grant Program Thursday at Southwest Oregon Regional Airport in North Bend.  Nearly $60,000 was awarded.  In the Bay Area,those receiving funds:  Alternative Youth Activities Inc.; Coos Co. Habitat for Humanity; Coos Co. Friends of Public Health; Coquille River Detachment 1042 USMCL; North Bend High School/NBSD; PEG Broadcast Services Inc.; South Coast Family Harbor; Southern Oregon Veterans Outreach; and, Southwestern Oregon Regional Airport. Jordan Cove spokesperson Michael Hinrichs says they received 98 applications for grants.  A new round of applications will be accepted beginning this Fall.
