At 5:03pm the evening of 10/18/19, Central Oregon Coast Fire was dispatched to a fully involved car fire. We were on scene at 5:10pm, 7 minutes later and immediately went into action extinguishing a fully involved camper van, concentrating first on the trees immediately next to and above the van to protect the houses and outbuildings in the
area. When the exposures were out we then shifted our full attention on the van. Within 50 minutes of the initial call, at 5:43pm, we had the fire completely out and headed back to our station at 6:07pm. We were assisted on scene by Seal Rock Fire District, Yachats Rural Fire Protection, Pacific West Ambulance and Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office – Oregon.
