Firefighters continued efforts throughout the night battling the Lobster Creek Fire 10 miles east of Gold Beach, OR. The fire was pushed by strong winds and continued to spread to the south and is estimated to be 446 acres with 10% containment. There are currently 150 firefighters working on the fire today with bulldozers, fire engines, crews, and aircraft. No homes or structures are threatened at this time. The fire is burning in the Lobster Creek and Fall Creek drainages. Oregon Department of Forestry (ODF) Incident Management Team 3 has been mobilized to take over management of the fire Monday night, July 2.
