Two $1,000 college scholarships have been awarded for the first time at Marshfield High School in Coos Bay through the Coach Mac’s Pirates Legacy award program. Created by Linnea McIntosh and MHS track assistant coach MJ Golder, the financial award honors a graduating male & female from MHS. During a recent ceremony at the school, the first awards, in honor of former Pirate track coach Rich (Mac) McIntosh, were presented to Hannah Beaulieu (who plans to attend Corban University in Salem), and Zach Kellar (who plans to attend Southern Oregon University in Ashland).
