News release BAH.  We are now in the midst of Teleflora’s Make Someone Smile Week. It’s one of the floral industry’s leading charitable projects. Coos County is one of only two communities in Oregon and Southwest Washington chosen to participate in this year’s campaign. This week (July 16-21), hundreds of deserving people in Coos County and more than 30 thousand people across the country are receiving floral arrangements in Teleflora’s signature yellow happy face mugs. The floral arrangements were  put together by kids at the Boys and Girls Club on Tuesday, and the Coos Bay Elk’s Club delivered the arrangements throughout the community, Wednesday morning. Many of the flower filled mugs are being delivered to patients at Bay Area Hospital. Other locations that will receive floral arrangements include Baycrest Village, THE House, Bayside Terrace, Inland Point, Life Care, Ocean Ridge, and Avamere Rehabilitation. This fun initiative is made possible in our community by the sponsorship of Petal to the Metal Flowers in downtown North Bend. “I believe in giving back to the community that has given me so much,” said Robbyn Repp, owner of Petal to the Metal flowers. Other sponsors in Oregon include Floral Supply Syndicate (Portland), Greenleaf Wholesalers (Portland), and Superior Greens (Springfield).
