Marshfield Upbeats Coach Debbie Brown, “I’m so proud of our Marshfield Upbeats’ Seniors! We went to All State Auditions at Gresham High School this weekend and 5 Upbeats (Ashley, Katie, Brianna, Paige and Sara) were in the top 45 dancers in the state for the combined 1A, 2A, 3A and 4A division! No team affiliation is allowed and dancers not only had to learn new choreography on the spot, but participate in multiple auditions, in front of a judging panel, over the course of the 12 hour day. Three made the cut to top 24, Brianna, Katie and Sara. We will find out at state competition on March 22 who made the final cut, but being included in the best of the best is an incredible accomplishment for these young ladies.”

Sutherlin visits Marshfield tonight in a 4A Far West League basketball coed doubleheader. JV teams will play at 4:15 p.m., followed by the varsity girls and then varsity boys. North Bend will travel to Brookings-Harbor.
