Marshfield swept a pair of non-league baseball games from visiting Illinois Valley (0-3) Wednesday afternoon in Coos Bay. Senior Tyler Campbell threw a one-hitter in the first game of the doubleheader as the Pirates prevailed 10-0 in six-innings. The second game was a seesaw battle with Marshfield coming up with two-runs in the bottom of the sixth, before hanging on for an 8-7 win. The Pirates (3-4) will have a makeup game with Elmira today at 4:30 p.m. The Pirate JVs will play the Falcons at 2 p.m.

North Bend beat host North Marion 5-3 at a non-league baseball tournament in Aurora Wednesday. The Bulldogs then lost to Oregon City 13-12. North Bend (3-1) is next scheduled to play at Willamette in Eugene Saturday.
