ODOT: SW Oregon: U.S. Highway 101 will remain closed at McCullough Bridge in North Bend until at least Friday afternoon, possibly longer. ODOT is working to stabilize the construction project enclosure attached to the bridge. The enclosure was damaged Thursday afternoon and prompted the temporary closure of the bridge. The bridge itself remains structurally sound, with only minor damage to the rails. ODOT will provide additional updates on Friday morning. Meanwhile, most traffic will detour along East Bay Drive. Trucks are not allowed on East Bay Drive and should use alternate routes, such as Interstate 5.
