Marshfield’s basketball teams swept through the 2019 Crossover Tournament between District 4 and the Skyline Conference. The top-ranked girls team beat Klamath Union 70-24 Friday at Henley near Klamath Falls, and then dispensed of Hidden Valley 62-33 also at Henley. The Lady Pirates (12-1) host Junction City Friday, 7:15 p.m. to open District 4 play. The Marshfield boys beat Mazama Friday night 65-46, and Henley Saturday 57-42, both at Cottage Grove. The Pirates (9-3) host Junction City Friday, 5:45 p.m. to open District 4 league games. Marshfield has also added a game on Saturday, Jan. 12, 3:30 p.m., varsity only against Woodburn, and played at Southwestern Oregon Community College.
